MISSISSIPPI WOMEN IN THE LEAD

Women's Foundation of Mississippi

Mississippi Women in the Lead (MWL), now in its second year, is a leadership program developed by the Women's Foundation of Mississippi and their partners at the Mississippi Black Women's Roundtable and One Voice Mississippi. The goal of MWL is to increase the number of women leaders in elected office and public policy advocacy.

For this campaign, I focused on emphasizing the new possibilities this program would create for women, as well as ensuring each graphic felt aspirational, uplifting, and channel WFM's Thrive energy.

Black Women's Equal Pay Day

Mississippi Black Women's Roundtable

Stretching across multiple channels, Black Women's Equal Pay Day became a rallying cry for audiences to step into their power as voters and raise awareness on the persisting wage gap in Mississippi and beyond.

I developed a social media toolkit for MS BWR to share with its partners, launched and monitored interactions for the event day, led a Q&A interview with Executive Director, Cassandra Welchlin.

2024 Legislative Session

Mississippi Black Women's Roundtable

Each year, the Mississippi Black Women's Roundtable creates a policy agenda centering on issues impacting Black communities in the state.

For 2024, I developed campaign materials for social media including action alerts on legislative updates and ways for audiences to get involved.

Celebrating the Big 3-0!

Cups Espresso Cafes

For Cups Espresso Cafes' 30th anniversary, I worked with design to develop content full of birthday spirit.

This campaign included an interview with founder and CEO Janice Cameron, as well as promotions through web and email. Select cafes also hosted giveaway events to customers (yes, even birthday party hats!).

BRAND LAUNCH

Converge

Launching a brand onto social media is probably my favorite campaign!

Converge, a nonprofit organization focused on expanding access to person-centered health care, introduced their brand to Facebook and Instagram at the end of March in 2022.

I worked with their team to create graphics that displayed their core values while also remaining informative and uplifting.

BRAND REFRESH

Alluvial Collective

At the start of 2022, The Alluvial Collective, formerly known as The Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation, approached our team with the request to do a complete brand refresh. I worked with my team to develop a list of new brand names, logo designs, and mission statements.

Once the client was ready to publicly announce their new branding, we developed new brand-building graphics that emphasized Alluvial Collective's community focus while also incorporating the natural denotations of their new name.

FUN PROMOTIONS

Cups Espresso Café

Exam week doesn't have to be a chore, especially at a place like Cups!

This series was developed specifically for Cups' student audience during exam week. It was well received and was a lot of fun to create!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHTS

Cups Espresso Café

In addition to developing flavored coffee inspired by Mississippi flavors, Cups opens their doors to local artists and allows them to display their artwork in Cups cafes for free.

Artist spotlights help these artists get the visibility they deserve, while also giving the client an excellent opportunity to grow their audience. For this campaign, I prioritized sharing snippets of one-on-one interviews with the artists as well as spotlighting individual pieces on via Facebook and Instagram stories.
